FIAT JOINS HANDS WITH TATA MOTORS

It’s an old news but nevertheless worth sharing.

Fiat is finally finding a much-needed co-operation from an Indian vendor. Just when it looked like things can't get any worse for Fiat, rains in Bombay inundated Fiat's assembly lines in Kurla. Though Fiat has enough inventories to keep it almost non-existent sales going, it is now planning to roll out Palio's from Tata Engineering's plant in Pune. The extend of co-operation that the two are planning is not known, but Fiat can definitely do good in integrating its sales and support with Tata Motor's, which would be of great help in reviving Palio's fortunes. Buyers in India have little doubts about the technology and reliability of Fiat's cars but support has always been a major concern, which can be overhauled if the Tatas pitch into supporting Palio
