THE RS. 1 LAKH CAR

And I thought only Tatas are trying to make a 4 wheeled passenger vehicle(I am now not very sure if I should call it a car) costing Rs. 1 lakh. There seems to be a bigger lot of them. Every one who has some technology and money seems to trying to make some thing of the kind of a car at that price point. And the list includes- Bajaj Auto
- TVS Motors
- Piaggio

I seriously doubt if it is worth making a car that cheap - it is not likely to have other the four wheels and a chassis - a Fred Flintstone kind of vehicle, so as to say.
In a market that is moving fast towards bikes that cost upward of Rs. 1 lakh, the consumer is also demanding frills in his budget cars.
Fuel rates are pointing strongly in the opposite direction though.
