Maruti starts delivering SX4

Maruti has started making first deliveries of the new car SX4. The car launch has been a bit low profile and it did not see many major campaigns before or after its launch. It would probably be seen on the roads of your city in no longer than a couple of weeks. From the images, the car definitely looks good and I am looking forward to see them.
The SX4 starts at a decent price of 629000 and the higher version costs 735000(Bangalore, ex-showroom). The car comes with a 102PS engine with a capacity of 1.6liters. The SX4, especially at the higher end looks well loaded. But it is surprising that there is no diesel version available, especially with Maruti making so much noise about bringing in more Diesel engines to India. But that make folks at Ford rejoice, since they still don't have a solid competition for Fiesta diesel.
One interesting new thing on the car is an integrated music system that is embedded within the dashboard, and not as a separate component. It looks nice, but is a pain if you wanted to replace it with your favorite system.

The SX4 is defiently a looker, but isn't that roomy inside, especially its rear passanger section. The boot space is more than generous. The internaltionl release of the SX4 is a hatchback and comes with a 1.8 liter engine. Your right about the desiel variant, it would have been good to have a Fiat Desiel engine that Suzuki has been talking about for long.
WELL FOR SURE A DIESEL VERSION WILL BE MORE THEN WELCOMED BUT AS OF NOW THERE IS NO SUCH NEWS FROM THE MARUTI SUZUKI STABLE'S. ALSO I HAD BEEN TO THE LAUNCH OF THIS CAR SX4, AND GOT A GOOD LOOK OF THE CAR ALSO A TEST DRIVE, IT'S AN EXCELLENT DRIVE, THE CAR FOR SURE WILL DO WELL, AND WHEN I SAY THIS I SAY WHAT ALOT OF PEOPLE WANT TO SAY! THE BOOT SPACE IS A BIT MORE THEN WAS REQUIRE BUT NOT THAT ANYONE IS COMPLAINING, ALSO THE MUSIC SYSTEM IS AMAZING, AS WELL AS THE LEG ROOM IN THE CAR FOR FRONT AS WELL AS THE REAR SEATS...EVEN THE HIGH ROOF MAKES ONE FEEL VERY COMFORTAE WITH ALOT OF SPACE!

Lets hope Suzuki with the launch of SX4, will once again reclaim the supermacy it had in the past. Now that its a good time for Suzuki that Swift is doing good business, they have perfectly timed the launch of the sedan. Lets see how it performs.

Maruti udyog is in for yet another grant leap....as it has rightly decided to focus on SUV car market now. It is launching the award winning SUV in India sometimes next month. Suzuki Grand Vitara – the car has already created ripples in the international market. An amazing combination of off-road and on-road abilities this cool car satisfies both the SUV and luxury car lovers. The unique feature of the car is its dual personality. Watch out as it rolls out next month.
I saw the car on the road, believe me, its not that stunning as in pics. The back side is a total loss, yet, the statistics reveal that its even outnumbering Honda City :-)

Being an owner of Sx4 and member of the blog I take it as my responsibility to give a genuine feedback about the car. Well looks very aggressive & bold, it’s study & muscular shape gives it amazing appearance on exteriors. It completes my style statement & suits my personality. On interiors its soooooooo room-y that I find traveling much easy and comfortable now. Leg room is gr8 and one can easily stretch legs while traveling. Its packed with so many of safety features which makes life absolutely safe, both for driver and passengers. Technically I m not sure of my knowledge bt I only knw tht it has got a gr8 fuel efficient engine and which gives gr8 pick up & power & completes the aggressive appeal. On the flip side of the coin I find sum prblm while reversing but I didn’t want to leave so many benefits jst bcoz of ths small issue (wch almst all sedans hav) so I hav put an electronic reversing sensor which digitally tells me about car’s distance frm the object on rear side.
Net net I am more thn satisfied by the performance & total boquet of benefits I get frm ths car
I was confused by the comments but was astonished by the looks so I went to take a test drive. Its macho and aggressive on exterior at the same time doesn’t compromise on safety features infect its packed with so many safety features which no other car in the range is providing. Driving is my passion and I have driven almost all cars of the same segment but this one is really superb, engine is very powerful and delivers great amount of torque and pulling power at the same time fuel efficient (don’t forget 1.6 L engine) boot space is huuuuuuuuuuuge and head room leg room are simply unmatched.. Now I m pride owner of a gr8 car SX4 (HR 26 AL-3708).It’s a superb car and worth spending the money all those going for new car in the range chk it out before shelling out the money.
Finally I got sumthng wch is a unmatchd bundle of benefits yet suits my pocket its stunning and stylish , bold and reflects inception of new India. Performance wise it’s a gr8 car and makes life easier in jams since u don’t hav to switch gears at lower speeds real fuel efficient engine wth high pulling power is sumthing wch is ideally impossible bt ths car has proved impossible is nothing. Rearview while reversing is a problem bt I don’t think its tht big n issue since ths prblm is common across sedans issue cud b countered wth sensors . to my mind its not n intelligent move to leave a several advantages jst to avoid an small trouble wch can be easily addressed . I m 110% satisfied by my purchase and also recommend all of u at least chk this option before making ur mind for a new car after all 7+ lac is not a joke
I am a bit dissapointed with SX4, I think Maruti has lost its touch for customers. In my new car there is a problem of screeching sound whenveer the car is started after being Idle. I made compalints to maruti giys but still to hear from them on the feedback.
Its not the same Maruti which i knew and wad was delighted with.
